NTP Lampung Province August 2017 for each sub-sector was recorded at 104.73 for Rice & Palawija Subsector (NTP-P), 95.81 for Horticulture Subsector (NTP-H), 103.73 for Smallholder Subsector (NTP-Pr ), 117.69 for Livestock Sub-sector (NTP-Pt), 109.96 for Capture Fishing Subsector, and 94.85 for Aquaculture Sub-sector. While NTP Lampung Province was recorded at 105.45.
In August 2017, several commodities experienced price increases, among others in food crops such as rice, corn and cassava. In the estate crop sub-sector and livestock sub-sector also experienced price increases such as coffee, cocoa, pepper, beef, and goat. In the horticulture and capture fisheries sector, prices of petsai / sawi, eggplant, tilapia and tilapia were decreased.
Most of the sub-sectors experienced an increase in NTP in August 2017, except for horticulture and capture fisheries. In detail, the food crops subsector increased by 2.10 percent, the horticulture subsector decreased by 0.82 percent, the plantation crops subsector grew by 3.16 percent, the livestock sub-sector rose by 1.57 percent, the fisheries sub-sector decreased by 0.14 percent, and the aquaculture subsector rose by 0.18 percent. NTP Lampung Province combined by 1.82 percent.
Of the 33 provinces observed in August 2017, 28 provinces experienced an increase in NTP and 5 other provinces decreased. The highest increase in NTP occurred in Lampung Province with an increase of 1.82 percent, while the largest decrease in NTP occurred in West Papua Province which decreased by 0.44 percent.
August 2017 rural areas in Lampung Province experienced deflation of 0.33 percent. Deflation was caused by the decline in the food price index of high food prices by 1.13 percent. Meanwhile, some of the price index group experienced an increase.
